50+ HappyNest partners from across the U.S. gather in Newport, RI to discuss effective strategies for building the growth of laundry pickup and delivery service.

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. and NEWPORT R.I. — July 12, 2023 — HappyNest, the tech-enabled laundry pickup and delivery service, hosted its 2nd Annual Partner Conference last week, gathering 50+ partners from across the U.S. on June 20-22 in Newport, Rhode Island. HappyNest currently supports over 130 laundromat partners in 38 states, to bring the next-day pickup and delivery laundry service to residents and businesses across the nation. The Conference offered HappyNest partners the opportunity to network and share ideas surrounding growth, staffing, operations, and industry trends.

“Our 2nd Annual Partner Conference was a great success," said John MacKrell, CEO and founder of HappyNest, who spoke on HappyNest’s current goals and vision for the future. “It was a collaborative, productive, and exciting few days to bring together HappyNest partners and share information, pass ideas back and forth and get feedback from our partners. We appreciate our partners making the trip to Newport, Rhode Island to learn how to further scale and enhance their pickup and delivery laundry business. It was a fun event, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.”

During the two and a half-day conference, partners had the opportunity to speak with members of the HappyNest team from all departments – Partner Support, Customer Service, Commercial Sales, Technology, and Marketing. The group also heard perspectives from three partners, Ralph Myers from Jacksonville, Florida; Charlie Russell from Baltimore, Maryland; and Mark Hardaway, from Los Angeles, California, who spoke on their experiences with recent HappyNest initiatives. On the final day, a Q&A session allowed partners to share successful strategies and methodologies on staffing and growth. Panelists included: Charles Measley from Ocean Township, New Jersey; Amber Knott from Mobile, Alabama; Eli Carey, from Denver, Colorado; and Mark Hardaway from Los Angeles, California.

In addition to learning from the those within the partner network, HappyNest was pleased to welcome key members from the laundromat industry to contribute their thoughts and knowledge on the future and growth of laundry pickup and delivery. Brian Wallace, President, and CEO at Coin Laundry Association, presented to the group on current trends in the space. “I appreciate the entire Happy Nest team and their partners for their hospitality at the conference,” said Brian. “I came away both impressed by the quality of operators and with the high level of engagement they displayed as a community.  Our industry is growing rapidly in the laundry delivery space, and I feel fortunate to have spent time with some of the clear leaders in that trend while sharing CLA’s outlook for the future.”

To prepare partners as they continue to grow their business, the group also had the opportunity to hear from Executive VP, Sales /Marketing of Eastern Funding LLC, Tony Regan, who provided a comprehensive overview of growth financing within the industry. “It was great being part of HappyNest’s recent Partner Conference,” said Tony. “Lots of energy and organization provided for valuable information shared amongst so many great operators. Congrats on a very enjoyable and successful event!”
